Variety - the Childern's Charity is an enthusiastic group of business leaders who donate their time, resources and energy to positiely impact the lives of childern in their own communities, and around the world.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Variety Children's Charities is to provide funding and services for programs that strive to alleviate suffering and improve the quality of life for children who are mentally and physically challenged, abused, sick, homeless or underprivileged.

Variety the Children's Charity believes every child deserves access to lead a full, active life. Through an array of programs and fundraising endeavors, Variety of Illinois helps to give children with disabilities the freedom and independence to live life and fulfill their roles in society.
Variety of Illinois receives no government funding. We currently support a number of programs through special events, corporate sponsorships and underwriting as well as private and corporate donations.
VARIETY'S OVERALL MISSION
Variety the Children's Charity is dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and wellbeing of children. Through a network of 54 chapters in 14 countries, Variety reaches into communities across the globe to offer financial assistance and services to children and organizations that serve children with disabilities. Through hard work, thoughtful stewardship and single-minded focus on the needs of the young, Variety strives to make a lasting difference in the lives of children, their families, our communities and the world...one need at a time.
The U.S chapters of Variety - The Children's Charity are a multi-million dollar philanthropic organization with locations throughout the United States. Beginning with a baby left on the doorsteps of a movie theater in 1928, professional men and women, many from the theater and film industry, have been helping children in need. Today, through the efforts of our enthusiastic volunteers and generous corporate contributors, we remain true to our heritage by giving children real, tangible help.
Variety of the United States is growing in our outreach through a strongly supported national program that assists children with disabilities in every community:
KIDS ON THE GO!
Variety's National Mobility Program provides much needed assistance to children with mobility limitations. These children desperately want to be active members of their communities. What they need most is what we often take for granted: access. For children with disabilities, having the freedom to go where they want is not just a small pleasure "it is a necessity.
With the advent of many new mobility technologies, this access is becoming available to more and more children. The goal of our Mobility Program is to see that they get it.
Our dedicated volunteers and generous contributors and sponsors make these life-enhancing opportunities possible for children in need. There's nothing like seeing a child smile with satisfaction as they make their way in the world.
